Your Truck's Paint Job

Hate to admit it, but, the Ford 150's paint job looks a lot better than the Titan's. The F150 is about 6 years old too, and my truck is only 2 years old. Is there anybody else that's not to floored by their Titan's paint job? Good chance that I might just need to get it clayed, dunno...

It's black so it needs more TLC. If it will make you feel better I'll go take a pic of my truck it hasn't been washed in over a month and I live on a dirt road..

Yeah, you can scratch the paint with a good fart. But I spend a lot less time in the service dept.

i love my smoke titan, farted on or not! anyheww, its not the paint you're seeing, its the clearcoat over the paint that gets jacked, so as you mentioned, it may be time for a good once-over with the claybar, then hit it with some bad@ss polish, then wax!

Mine is ridiculusly dirty right now but I haven't noticed anything other than the normal wear and tear on a paintjob, even the repaired parts.

My silver paint is very, very thin indeed ..... but it looks great and seems to be holding up as well as any other vehicle that I've owned ..... you know, the EPA and HoneyKeeper has mandated new rules recently that limits how new vehicles are painted.

..believe me, my next Titan will be Silver. If they really have mandated the way vehicles are painted, that's sad. Like I said, our old ass Ford F150's paint job is a lot better than my Titan's.

When I first got mine, a Deepwater KC, I noticed fine line scratches appearing. I rubbed them out and washed and used Ice. I haven't seen any new scratches in over 8 months. Don't know if Ice forms a hard shell or the clear coat just cured. FWIW
