Least Reliable?

Just read an article where Money Magazine rated the Titan as the least reliable pickup.... How did they arrive at that conclusion? Is it a hold over from the brake issue? Except for the brake judder, which was fixed, I've had ZERO problems with mine. We've towed trailers, hauled cargo, etc, etc. The Titan is 10 times the truck my Ford F-150 ever was. What gives?????

I praise my truck all summer long because I truely like it alot ... but come winter time and my door latches freeze up and I can't close my doors.....and I have to use a ratcheting tie strap from the inside passenger door to the inside drivers door to hold my door closed as I make my way to work, I'm gonna be a cussin' and a grippin' ..... and ya, I've had it to the dealer twice for this problem and they played me like a b!tch ..... I'll suffer through it for the rest of my life before I take it back to them again.

I can understand your frustration.... But has it ever dumped the water pump, or blown the front seals, had the transmission synchronizers give it up? My F-150 has done all of this and more...... The only thing I still like about the thing is the 4.9 (300 cid) inline 6. It's bullet proof.
Has your Titan left you standing by the side of the road? To me that is what reliability is all about....does the accursed thing start and run. Maybe I'm wrong........ But what percentage of Titans do that?

Nope mine has always done me no wrong. Except for a little brake issue many years ago, I haven't any issues!

I was in Boarders the other night reading a Consumer Repress magazine and again the had a list of all the trucks in the current market and the Titan was at the very bottom , in black with reliability.

Did they follow the TSB?
If so, maybe try a different dealer.

The TSB didn't come out untill after I had it in twice ..... I might take it in next week while I'm off work, along with both write-ups that I got when I visited them showing that I tryed to get it fixed when the truck only had about 10k miles on it ....... I'm gonna try and get it fixed on Nissans dime ..... I have good standings with the service writer here in Memfrica where I bought my truck.

I also had a late 80's brand spankin new F-150 and it turned me into a Chevy loyalist, and as for Consumers Report someone needs to do a report showing how reliable their reports are. (Wish I had one of them funny 1/4 filled circles like they use.)

I bought a brand spanking new Black 1989 F-150 Supercab longbed Lariat with a 302 and 5 speed to pull my stockcar and I absolutely loved it .... 155" wheelbase and all ..... the junkyard that sponsered my racecar got a totaled '91 Mustang GT in one day and I told the junkyard owner that I wanted the motor out of it and he said "take it" .... it took me all week to swap out the motor, but that truck would scream once it had that roller cam/rocker motor with a GT40 intake and long tube headers ...... I also had an awesome aftermarket sound system in it ..... I nicknamed that truck "Club F-150" .... it was back when I was into techno-electric dance club music ..... which I can't believe I'm admitting to.
