| Reaquianted with my Titan I've been driving the Anxiety Attack (98 Scare-maro Z-28) for about the last 3 months just because I have it and it saves milage on my already high milage truck ..... but Sunday was such a beautiful day that I pulled my Titan out from behind the barn and gave it a wash and wax .... and I've been driving it for the last three or four days ..... well, I am really wondering about the excessive slippage of the torque converter ...... driving the Scare-maro around for so long and then getting back into my truck really makes the slipping very noticable ..... why did Nissan do this?? .... is it to protect the automatic transmission?? ..... I don't like it and I want the converter to "lock up" when driving at highway speeds, up and down hills just like the Camaro does ... once the Scare-maro is in OD, it takes an act of Congress to get it to shift down .... and with the torque of the LS-1, downshifting is not needed..... I'd bet a noticable gain in fuel milage could be realized if the Titans TC would lock up instead of that wishy-washy slip and find action that it does ..... what is ya'lls thoughts on this?
