After 51,000 plus miles, I thought my truck would need brakes so thats what I set out to do. Got everything apart and found brake pads that have LOTS of meat on them yet. Still driving on OEM pads. On my last full-size pickup, I needed front pads about every 30k - 40k.

I have just over 44K on mine and I think I'll do a replacement soon as I'm down to about 30% pad left. But I'm starting to get some pulsating in the truck as I use the brakes which indicates to me the rotors are warping. I don't have much freeway usage, so I do more stop-and-go than those folks who do a lot of freeway driving.
I plan to upgrade to aftermarket rotors and pads as I want to upgrade the "feel" of the brakes. Right now I find them too "soft."

Yeah, I do alot of highway driving & stay away from stop & go driving as much as I can. I'm ok with the brakes as they are, I left the OEM pads in there cause it would've been a waste to replace them with so little wear on them.

We get about 70,000 miles but I'm real hard on brakes.
