unexpected surprise ?

My battery was dead yesterday morning when I tried to head out, all I got was a click, click, click, click, etc. when I turned the key. It was unexpected cause up till the day before, the Titan was fine, no signs of a weakening battery. All the previous batteries gave signs they were weakening. So she is all set now with a new battery.

I checked the battery afterwards, I found 1 dead cell & the other five cells were at only 50% - 75%. So I guess it was on the down hill slide.

That's how it was for me too. Stopped and got out for about 20 minutes and when I got back in nothing but the dash looking like it was possessed.

I've just knocked on wood. I'm still running the original OEM battery. 4/2005 build date.

I would speculate that since Red lives in a part of the country that doesn't see temp extremes the battery last longer.

People like me where the temps range from below zero in the winter to a whopping 115ºF this summer will see the lifespan of their battery diminished.
