Well I drove the Titan for the first time in over a year for the last two days since she just doesn't get driven much any more and after a year of driving the 1 ton with the Cummins I have to admit that I've been having a blast blowing by people with the banks screaming and the Hids a glowing (Thanks Hooli for bugging me about both.)

It took 100 miles to get use to the awesome throttle response and the darty front end again after having driven the diesel with that long front end and there's no doubt which rides better. I only wish Nissan would build a heavy duty and all would be well in the world again. These are indeed great 1/2 ton trucks and I'm glad I've kept her, now I just need to find the time to show her some love.

Well congrats on getting back in the Titan. The whole time that we were in the hospital having Lara, I drove the wifes FJ Cruiser. Got back in my truck to go back to work and it felt like I was driving a top fuel dragster.

The very fast throttle response off idle is both a blessing and a curse. Really can foul up a attempted smooth pull away from a stop sign or traffic light. It especially bothers me when the pavement is slick. Lightly press on the gas and the next thing I know, I'm sideways like a drifter. Stock engine too.

Oh well, I'm sure this is better than driving a dud.

I saw that Nissan IS going to manufacture heavy duty trucks and vans for the American market. Over at Pickup Trucks.com, they reported on testing a ZF 6 spd auto meant for the new trucks.
Plus the fact that Nissan has stated that the Titan will not go away, with or without Dodge.

just rolled 93,000... and guess what? I STILL LOVE MY TITAN!!!! nothing like getting out of a POS diesel powered brown truck and stepping into my titan! been giving my titan love unlike some (hehe) and she reciprocates the love and makes me feel gooooooood!!!
