Missing characters on Nav screen

This is something that has been bugging me for quite some time, so maybe one of you can help. I have an 06 with the RF6, XM, DVD, Nav and Nissan's i-pod interface. I instilled the XM tuner and i-pod interface (both are Nissan) myself. Before I did the i-pod interface the screen for XM would show 16 characters for artiest and song title (everything shows up on the Nav screen in this truck, including the HVAC setting). Now all I get are 8 characters for artiest and song title. Is there a default setting I need to do to get all the characters back? Haven't found anything in the owners manuals about it. I was at the dealers last Saturday and they didn't know either. They were going to call Nissan Tech for me this week and try to find out something for me. I just though of it now, so I hadn't called them back. This really bugs the stuffings out of me and if I can't fix it I'm thinking about pulling the i-pod interface back out of the truck. As a side note I use my i-pod for listing to audio books and the full title and authors name scrolls across the screen. Any ideas, or should I just shoot myself and be done with it. J/K...LOL

If Nissan can't help, I suggest you un-install each unit that you added one at a time. Check for proper operation after you pull each one off. If that doesn't cure the problem, I haven't a clue to your display problem other than the add-on units must have trigger a change and not reset with their removal.

Thanks, I haven't cheeked back with the tech yet, need too do that. I've had the xm tuner in a year or so before I did the ipod interface. The lost characters came about after the interface was done. The tech and I are hoping that there is a default setting that can be reset. Hope so, it works great out side of the lost characters.
