New Titan member in my neck of the woods.

Well I was just notified this morning at breakfast that wifey's step uncle bought an 07 Nissan Titan SE CC 2wd in Red Brawn. He drove over this morning for breakfast and too show off his new ride. It was the first 07 that the dealership sold. They've changed somethings since I've bought mine. Power sliding back glass, new AC & Heater knobs, different Windshield washer stick, different Exhaust exit pipe (straight now rather than bent). Moved the compass & temp indicator to the overhead console. And I think that's about it. He's happier than a puppy with two peckers.

Could ya do a brutha a favor? There's a rumor that the 07 engine now has VVT (Variable Valve Timing) could you verify if this is true or not and if it is maybe snap a couple of pics?

I'll see what I can do. I might be able to get over there sometime this week and see. Got a pretty full schedule for the next couple of days. I'll try my best.

I was at my dealer this past week getting an oil change and went and strolled the lot while waiting. It was early and there were no sales guys out yet. I found a few '07s on the lot and examined the window stickers carefully. I was not able to pop the hoods on any as they were all locked.

IMHO I do not think that the '07s have VVT because it is not mentioned on the window sticker in the Mechanical & Performance section. I feel like Nissan would make mention of this technology if the engine had it due to the fact that they list other technologies "engine guy" would like to see on the sticker such as:

the HP rating
the torque rating
the double overhead cams and 32 valves
the "super silent" timing chain
the 6 bolt main bearing crank

Seems like they would have listed the VVT on the same line with the DOHC 32-valve info.

Additionally, I have not found absolute proof on the web that Nissan added VVT to the VK56DE motor for the Titan for '07 - only the upgraded HP and torque numbers (probably due to the new SAE testing standards).

That's my .

I wish I had the power rear window option on my 04...

Squid-wurd, In the latest Car and Driver, I know, not a truck mag but they do list all of the 07's and what was changed. The Titan and Armada all it says is "Power increase to 317 hp while the torque falls five pounds to 385. Flexible-Fuel (E85) capacity added." Now I thought they already had E85 from last year? There is no mention of VVT though.

Wow, I just looked at Wikipedia and I know the last time I looked it said the 07 had VVT, now that little blurb is gone. Hmmmmmm....

E85 is standard now on all trucks. It was only an option before that.

The '07 manual doesn't make any mention of a VVT system either...

Went over yesterday and took a look under the hood, the window sticker, the owners manual, and other documentation. Couldn't find any info anywhere about the engine being equipped with VVT. So I guess it's just a rumor. As TexasTitanXE said,

Sorry no pics didn't even think about it. They did change the Engine cover on the 07's They may have changed it before then, but it's different than my 04.
