Spark Plugs

I dunno how relevant this is to the Titan... but I always liked the full color photos in the back of my Haynes manuals...

I think our trucks have irridium plugs which should last in excess of 100k miles. Plus with fuel injection... you don't really worry about fouling plugs due to having the carbs incorrectly set up....

Great Post!

I pulled one back at 60,000 miles and it had no corrosion on it at all, now that's balanced combustion. I'm at 88,000 miles right now so I may pull one to see how it looks now that I have almost 30,000 miles with the Banks and the FramBoost but I bet it looks the same.
I never changed the plugs in the 02 Frontier and it had 104,000 miles when I traded it in.

My truck also has 88k miles and I've been noticing that my fuel milage has dropped recently .... my last 4 tanks carried me 1399.4 miles and it consumed 81.135 gallons of gas .... that equates out to 17.24 mpg .... more that 1 mpg less than the 18.5 mpg I had been getting and I drove slower this trip than usual .... maybe this would be a good time to reset my computer ..... or install new plugs .... or both.

This time of year because of all the snow I use 4hi a lot so checking my mileage is just silly. Since you work in the Gas business is it true they have a winter blend that tends to hurt your MPG?

I pulled several "Certificates of Analysis" for both winter and summer months and the only thing that's different is vapor pressure (Reed Vapor Pressure or RVP) .... the RVP is raised from 13.5 (summer) to 15.0 (winter) .... it has something to do fuels tendency to evaporate easily in hot weather and evaporating fuel is not good for the ozone .... I don't know if higher RVP means less mpg.
