Is there any place to get skidplates for the trans. and oil pan. i would really like to get some. i think they shouold be standerd on all trucks. also would they just bolt up or would i have to drill holes in the cross members. i am just wondering for future plans

You should already have skid plates if you have a 4wd.

4x4, non off road package should already come with a stamped steel skid plate over the oil pan and "front" part of the truck.

4x4 w/ off road package gets the nicer aluminum skid plate and the transfer case skid plate.

I bought the transfercase skid plate for about $14 and added it to my truck.

After i looked under my truck today i noticed that there is one already one under the oil pan. 22 bucks for the skid plate for the transfer case is not to bad. i will definetly do that. do they make one for the transmission?
