| Red, are you and engineer? Your insane But to try to answer, most of these lights arent produced in those parameters, the companys make sure they skim by USDOT standards so they can sell and attractive product, not always functional, not always safe.. but they sure are purtty

| Not insane nor an engineer. However, 26 years as a machinist and I picked up some smarts along the way. Enough to ask questions. So to me the question you need to ask yourself: "Do I want something that just barely skirts USDOT regulations protecting the ass of my Titan?" Worth some thought isn't it? Style or function? Red

| I dunno about those projectors, I have read reviews of the light output being weak and them leaking. On the L.E.D. question, you will find that the housings of the individual L.E.Ds are designed to maximize the spread in that field of vision. So, even thought the actual L.E.D is maybe 2-4mm wide, the pattern of light becomes 1/2 - 3/4 of an inch wide. Multiple this by 20 or so L.E.Ds and its pretty bright. I installed an L.E.D. third brake light and the output was wayyy bettery than stock. 6 L.E.Ds for the bed light and 10 for the brake light.
