| Big Tow Mirror Swap Made Easy Here is a brief write up I made from my attempt at swapping mirrors this weekend at the Houston meet. Thanks to VShortt and PBratton for the helping hands and guidance. Start by making sur you have a few rags and a new bottle of Goof-Off or similar. You will need this to clean the adhesive residue left from the covers. Make sure you have ALL the tools you will need. I was missing a torx head driver and it was rather embarassing. LOL.. Nothing like a crowd of close and new friends to make life interesting. Tools Needed: small flat screwdriver putty knife with beveled egde... makes it easier Phillips head screwdriver Torx head screw driver 10mm socket and wratchet..... deep well would be better. rags goof-off beer for helpers... cold and free are all they want See the photos below, and hopefully this helps anyone else trying to o this mod. You should be warned that once you have the old mirror off, and you have the door panel lose you will need to work the wiring harness out. You have to be careful not to tear up the harness so you can sell it to someone else. You need to feed the harness inside the door and on the OUTSIDE of the window track. Make sure you test the window on manual mode SLOWLY before you put it back together. You will hear/feel the window binding up on the cable if you have it wrong. I wish we could have gotten a picture, but it didn't work outside in the dark hole of the door. Sorry...... As I am not going to take the time to resize all of these, I am adding a link to a photobucket album. http://s10.photobucket.com/albums/a1...20Made%20Easy/

| Excellent, and thanks because I was planning on swapping my mirrors out. So how much were they and are they only electric? I deleted my first post for the sake of continuity. HAHAHA............after seeing the last pic I really have to get rid of my poor widdle mirrors. HAHAHA, that's funny. |

| I got them from YourNissanParts. and Brian worked me up a fairly decent price. I have an SE, so my mirrors have power and heat, but no memory option. PM inbound.

| i did this swap...but in reverse. swaped out my tow mirrors for regulars. cost me nothing. i swapped out with a guy with a titan wanting tow mirrors. word to the wise for those of you who are swaping the same way i did. your going to need to get new black sticker that covers the holes where the tow mirror bolt plate goes. we tried to reuse them but in removing them from his truck. they got damaged. kind of a one time use item. but not too expensive from the dealer ($10) i didnt realize that the mirrors bolted on differently. so just a little tip.
