| Well, one problem with all the aftermarket filter systems that just use an open topped filter air box, you still get a lot of engine compartment air into the filter as the seal against the hood isn't complete.
If you could use the stock OEM air box, it would have a better seal and provide a colder shot of air as it would only draw from the fender well.
The Imjen, and Volant use a sealed box and thus would seem to do a better job of sealing out the engine room air.
Just a thought.
Also, so many of the installs leave a big gap around the entry point of the air pipe into the airbox. That should be sealed tight. To me it is a poor deisgn feature.
