Spin Tech Muffler

well, didn't think i'd ever do it especially after singing its praises for so long but i have replaced the Banks Exhaust on my titan. and boy am i happy i did!

got a wild hair in my arse and decided to get something with much more bark and i did that by selecting a Spin Tech muffler. the Spin Tech is a pretty amazing muffler design incorporating some guy's idea of how to help cancel out drone yet announciate the titan's deep growl.

read more on how it works >>>> Spin Tech Mufflers

drone isn't entirely eliminated but my gosh does she sound meaner than ever! also had the resonators (04s have primary cats and the secondarys are resonators) removed to help amplify the sound and now she sounds closer to a dezert race truck! everything aside the muffler is custom so had custom tubing done all the way through reducing the overall diameter from the torque robbing banks' 3" piping down to a 2.5" piping. from the cats its straight pipes with o2 bungs put in falling into mandrel bent y-pipe into the spin tech muffler with turn downs dumping right in front of the axle. let me tell ya, the sound is deep, loud, aggressive and screams race truck. sounds much better than anything i've heard on a titan so far.

anyways, i came across this exhaust after racing thru the dezert with PRG in his titan and i was blown away by the sound of his exhaust and he mentioned he got a prototype of one of their mufflers and that ever since he welded it on he's loved it, so i decided then i had to have one. let me tell ya, you'll love the sound of the spin tech muffler.

for those of you with the stock exhaust and want to upgrade to a catback system, don't waste your time! just change out your muffler as the stock piping is more than adequate and very efficient. had i known this i would have never forked over close to 500 dollars for a catback system, which i actually really liked but in hindsight... i would have gone the route of the spin tech had i just known!

i'll have to get some video of it so you can hear it. the other night went out to a sports bar with SDtitan to watch some basketball and drink up and he heard the Spin Tech muffler. i'm sure he'll attest to the sound of the Spin Tech.

anyhow, here's some video of the Spin Tech muffler on other V8 motors... oh yeah, the Spin Tech does wonders on other applications like V6s and 4bangers... it really makes other engines sound so much better!!! of all the mufflers i've heard on titans this is by far the best sounding muffler for the titan. and starting at $79 dollars for a Spin Tech... how the hell can you beat that deal??? GREAT sound and a GREAT price!!! SPIN TECH RULES!!!

here's one of the hundreds that sound closest to what it sounds like on a titan, granted it sounds much better AND louder in person than this video but the tone is similar...

and when i get it JWT cammed and custom headers made and uprev tuned, hopefully she purrs like this with my Spin Tech!!

just sold my banks to a local titan owner with a stock exhaust. he's gonna love the banks. me, i needed something louder and meaner! slap your stock piping back on, cut the muffler off, slap on a super pro street Spin Tech muffler, weld on a turn down right out of the outlet and voila! you want old school 60s/70s rumble? this is it! i love mine more than i loved the banks! but it is good to know there are those still running stock exhausts wanting the banks and this is your opportunity to give someone a good deal on an excellent banks system!

What year is your truck. I know that 07+is 2inch pipe. if you want headers I say do it but you are going to want to look into uprev and do so research on the forum about headers.

Well it sounds like a supper pro street muffler to me. All I can say is with headers it becomes and new beast. I have two pro streets dumped and before headers they sounded nice and when you were on it got loud now they are louder than before. Ill find my videos and post them so you can kinda see.
