thanks squid. just read that on their site. gonna order up just the filter to replace my oiled AEM air filter. and i like the waterproof charateristics since my air filter is really exposed since i have no fender liners and a larger prerunner fender.

so no replacement needed? NICE

I've used a K&N on my Honda for years. Never a problem. I also applied the oil sparingly. This is a case of "More is not Better."

Squid...do you know if they have fixed the vibrations in the Volant? Was reading a lot of the older post and that seems to be the only big issue with it.

curious why you'd pick this no-name brand devil dog? plenty of well established brands being used by titan owners with a million different opinions .... all the major brands for the most part have not disappointed.

for sand/dust/dirt, just stay away from oiled filters

well honestly because it does the same as a brand part, just a pipe and a filter, now if the filter is really cheap ill change it for a better one. and yes this truck from time to time it will see the BAJA since we are into the offroad

sd is right... stay away from oiled filter... everytime i get back from the desert there is a layer of sand/silt/dust on the filter. the oiled filter is a f*cking magnet!!! i hate having to thoroughly clean it everytime rather than just tapping it like a dry filter.
