| Can's and Can not's of VKPro per Kyle@Stillen: Hey guys, Lately there have been a few questions regarding the VKPro, basically what exactly can it do and what can't it do. I hope this helps, and if you still have questions feel free to ask and I will update the lists. Can's: Supply an additional 30HP and 40TQ to a bone-stock showroom prep truck Adjust air/fuel ratio for more power Adjust timing for more aggressive performance Sense trouble situations and retard itself Be installed in less than ten minutes with the plug and play harness Be removed in less than ten minutes in case of any warranty issues Leaves no trace of installation...No one will ever know it was in there Can not's: Adjust drive-by wire/Wide open throttle controls Remove speed limiter Does not have a Map A or Map B Will not work with 2 degree timing advance It does require 91 or higher octane. And will not work on 2007's. There are a few reasons why we won't change the WOT controls and speed limiters. 1) Safety/Reliability is the #1 reason. We don't feel it is easy/safe on the transmission or differential to give full power at 1000 RPM. We have learned somethings from our own testing as well as some independent testing that tells us that the line pressures inside of the transmission drastically increase to a dangerous level when the truck sees WOT with no limitation. 2) Safety- We won't remove the speed limiter because of safety to the people inside of the truck as well as the people outside of the truck. There is too much liability in this. There are companies like Hypertech and Superchips that make programmers that remove the speed limiters for Chevy, Ford, and Dodge. And honestly, they have more money and better lawyers than us haha. The reason that we can't adjust tire sizes or shift points is because of the factory ECU.
