HK... hopefully when you install your new front shocks, the viberations transmitted into the frame and all other components will be much much less. I know that since installing the DRs, I've yet to hear that (and we all know exactly what it feels and sounds like) impact in the dash as you hit a rut or pothole just right. Love my DRs.

As for the motor mount bolts, I'd venture to say that they are installed from below the truck by the worker on the assembly line. Likely at the same time something else is being installed on top - like maybe the cab. Who knows, but it would be fun to find out by visiting the factory and going on a VIP tour.

A little Loc-Tite will do wonders. If you are in fear, remove, clean, apply just a dab, re-install and forget about it.

I hadn't thought of the "other" new front shock benefits and look forward to the change since my SM hasn't found the "final-fix" for the 2-2,00 rpm rattle yet even after replacing the left exhaust manifold/cat-converter assembly!

Yes the engine mount bolts definately go in from the bottom side.
I'll be "keep" ing my eyes on the bolts and if one gets loose or gone I'll use the Loc-Tite.
I still wonder if the bolt was ever installed at the factory?~!!

Thanks for the tips MI!!

LOL. that reminds me of my same experienced when I told the delaer that my car makes a clunking noise. Just when I picked up my car, I was told that the two front motor mounts bolt were missing. Oh well, I moved to another dealer.

Petty, you sure have resurrected and old thread. Glad to see a member root around in the files to look at subjects that interest them.
I'm not sure if HK sitll monitors this site.

Dig some more and offer your comments as its nice to get more input.
