Bad Battery OR something else

Hi All,
been over year since my last visit. Here is the deal, 4 times now, out of the blue, my 2006 titan crew cab 4x4 has had a dead battery. I would go to turn over, and you get the clicky sound, and all the gauages go crazy. Some say the factory battery is on its last leg, YET I do a test on the battery, voltage reg, and charging system.,..All is okay...SOOOOO could it still be the battery???

That's what mine did around the 3 year mark a mile from Walmart at 3am almost 80 miles from home. Walked to Walmart and bought a battery, carried it back, installed it and she's been happy for over 2 years now.

Other people have had the IPDM (Intelligent Power Distribution Module) go out and it produces the exact same symptom so if you're sure the battery is good then the IPDM is your next stop.

I'm sorry, I don't have any good news for you. Batteries can act like they are great; great, that is, until you put a real load on them. If you haven't already done it, I suggest you get the battery "load tested."

On my Titan, the 05, the battery died at approx 2 yrs. Everything was going great, came out of the gym after a work out and nada. Had a buddy take me to Auto Zone for a quick replacement. Battery changed, no further problems for another 2.5 yrs. Had to replace the replacement. due to the heat out here. Was replaced free under warranty. But like Squid said, if you're not sure, get the IPDM checked.

My battery died at the 3yr mark in the titan. My maxima battery lasted 4yrs and was replaced by another nissan pos that just died. Nissan batteries suck arse the second battery in my mamixa lasted about a freaking year. I told nissan to F-off i will spend the money for a good battery. Sorry for the rant but this all happened while i was layed up in the hospital and my wife was almost stranded with my son in the car.

Yup, and unlike most batteries that give you some warning these things start fine, drive down the road shut it off and nothing. Sucks!
