I just joined the site I live in southwest,VA. I was looking for people who actually knew things about my vehicle (TITAN) not something close to it. Glad to be on board.

We have an interesting and varied group of folks here. Most are 'ole timers (experienced) and have seen just about everything with respect to the Titan. Soon, Squid will have the Knowledge Base up and running again. It contains a wealth of knowledge.

So, all this is a request to everyone to update your profile here on TTz. We don't want to know what street you live on, but it would be nice to have a city and state. We're not asking details of your life, but it would be nice to know if you are a butcher, a baker or a mechanic or plumber or rocket scientist. It helps everyone to under stand you and what you say.

If you have hobbies, those are nice to know. I'm a reader. Last year was a bad year for me and I only read 85 or 86 books. I had a lot going on and my mind just wasn't in to it. Since my teenage years I've read nearly a 100 books a year. Yes I'm an avid reader.

So if you've got questions on books (at least the type I read) you know who you might ask. Or travel or motorcycles or photography, whatever the topic there is likely to be someone on this forum who can speak to it.

I tried to get a section on "Who do I ask...?" up and running. It needed more participants; but, the idea was there.

So please take the time to share a little of yourselves via the User Profile. It will help your friends here to color in the image they have of you in their minds.

And you can be sure that Squid who is not going commercial has no intention of mis-using your info. Besides, unless you are in the witness protection program, what danger to you in knowing that Red Alert lives in Silverdale, Washington and likes to read?

working fine for me softy.....if you've read around, you would've seen there have been server issues that Squish is working on, it should be working shortly......

At the top of the page, click on the button "Quick Links". Scroll down and Highlight, Edit Profile! Voila!!

The other link "MY PROFILE" goes to a different format of Profiles and I'm familiar with it. The one in Quick Links is the one where you set up your sig and avatar.

Edit and enjoy.

Ah.. another 3 month dead thread to revive! Since Ive been gone so long, lets just act like Im new here ok? So that means even SD has to be nice to me for a day or so..

Im 38, live in Mentor Ohio (30 mins east of Cleveland), on the shores of beautiful Lake Erie (nasty stink hole). Im a manager of a NAPA store, & weekend Kustomizer of all things wheeled. I used to also do real estate, but with the market in the toilet, I saw no need to pay someone $1000 a year for the title, and make no $ back. Im married, almost 4 years, no kids, but 2 new puppies(@ 1 time! GOD HELP ME), we got them a month or so back, in March we lost our fight to save our 10 year old Aussie / St Bernard mix, and so the emptiness in the house was too much. I am also in school again, working on my MSCE, Security+ & CEH certs as well as my BA in business. Sorry I was gone for so long guys, guess it was a mid life thing.. but its all good now! Thanks for having me back!

.... I hear ya on the returning to school, I'm doing the same thing. I should've finished school a few years ago. Took a break because I was given a great opportunity at work working directly under the VP, managing a department and would've been unable to finish the grueling last year of a business/finance degree.

Unfortunately the housing depression also affected not only the home furnishings industry, but the very high-end furniture industry in which I worked and our company contracted to 1/4 of its former size! Not very many had been working there longer than myself but needless to say, after 11 years I, and many others, were shown the door. A couple guys had been there 12 and 15 yrs!

It's all good though, besides school, it has allowed me to spend much of the 1st year of my daughter's life with her, something few parents, much less dads, are able to do with both parents working now.

Whew. Long story. Gotta look into publishing that now. LOL
